This began with old hard drives,
scattered journals, and artwork.
Often, a piece was attached to a memory
or feeling that would resurface
before I was ready for it.
I’ve spent most of my life trying
to make sense of the pieces.
Somewhere along the way, I realized the act of
archiving was its own kind of healing.
Virtual Sonder is the place where I’m organizing the mess,
rebuilding timelines, and honoring the stories, people, and animals
that shaped the world I see.
It’s part storytelling, part digital preservation,
part survival instinct.
Most of us carry lifetimes of memories without a home.
This is me building my own.
If you want to understand the heart of this project,
here is a story of how this started.

n. the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own
